'As  a journalist from Fiji Islands, a nation most affected by climate  change, I like talking about climate change and global warming, and how  we can help reduce our carbon footprint. One of the simplest things we  can do is recycle, re use and set an example for others to follow in  reducing waste. Being sustainable is not hard and while you may not feel  the impact now, being overindulgent and buying more than what you need  will eventually lead to a crisis that may be too late to resolve.  Education is the best way forward and the more you find out how global  warming impacts us as smaller nations, the more aware and cautious you  will become about wastage in your day to day lives. I have been through  numerous cyclones in Fiji and lost every piece of belonging during the  many hurricanes.  Believe me, it is not a situation you want to be in.'
